ROSE CUT: Rose cut diamonds were introduced as early as the 1500's and were popular until the early 1900's. The shape of a rose cut diamond resembles the petals of a rose bud. The bottom is flat. The crown is domed shaped and the facets meet in a point in the center.
ROSE GOLD: Rose gold is a gold and copper alloy widely used for specialized jewelry due to its reddish colour. It is also known as pink gold and red gold. Because it was popular in Russia at the beginning of the nineteenth century it is also known as Russian gold, although this term has become somewhat rare. Since it is an alloy, there is no such thing as "pure rose gold"; pure gold is yellow and pure copper is reddish. STUD EARRINGS: (STUDS) The main characteristic of stud earrings is the appearance of floating on the ear or earlobe without a visible (from the front) point of connection. Studs are invariably constructed on the end of a post, which penetrates straight through the ear. The post is held in place by a removable friction back or clutch.

TENSION SET: A tension design is a minimalist ring setting where the diamond or other gemstone appears to float in midair within the band of the ring itself. First designed in the late 1960s, this setting uses specially treated metals that have an inherent “springiness” to hold the ring in place. Rather than prongs, the entire band of the ring acts as two large prongs to hold the stone in place.

TITANIUM: This light strong metallic element is used in some jewelry since it produces a range of colors when it is heated.
TOGGLE: Toggle clasps are two-piece clasps that are attached to opposite ends of a piece of jewelry. One section of the clasp is formed into a circle or other shape with an open center. The other half is a thick bar that attaches to the components at the other end. When you insert the "T" into the circle extends past the circle's edges to hold the jewelry in place. Toggle clasps are widely used to secure bracelets and anklets.

TRILLION CUT: The trillion cut is a dramatic cut that makes a bold statement. It was developed in the 1970s as a variation of the radiant cut, combining step-cutting and brilliant faceting. While often used as side stones, this cut is rarely used for the center stone so it is somewhat scarce in larger sizes. The trillion cut requires a special setting that has V-shaped-prongs to protect the corners of the stone.
